About Us
Kid of the nineties. Started making skate films on his dad’s VHS camcorder and never stopped. Loves analogue gear and shooting small gauge film.
Chad (the Dad)
Kid of a kid of the nineties. Has a natural eye for composition and knows the digital world far better than her old man. Currently finishing a degree in communications and screen production.

Bookings and Timeline

The Core package comes with three cameras: our Holga lens camera, a retro camera and a pocket camera with a mic. Together they give you a mix of looks from your day. You get a 5-10 minute highlight film and all the raw footage. A raw-footage-only package is also available

If you have any trouble with the gear, get in touch and we’ll help. If a camera is lost or damaged, replacement fees may apply under the rental agreement.

We post your Mixtape Video kit 3-4 days before the big day so you have time to get to know the cameras. A prepaid return label is included, so once the wedding’s over you just pack it up and send it back
How are you different from other DIY Wedding Video Companies?
Book early. We only have a limited number of kits, so get in early to ensure you don’t miss out.
Three ways.
The look. Our Holga-lens camera gives you a soft, dreamy, home-movie feel that no filter can fake. Most companies hand you a modern camcorder and call it retro. We’d rather give you something with character than something that’s just sharp.
The know-how. I’ve spent more than a decade as a media educator and documentary filmmaker, so I know how to shoot footage that edits well. Our simple custom guides will get you and your family filming great, usable footage.
The team. We’re a father and daughter team. One of us worked with older cameras before they were nostalgic, and the other knows what’s current. Home movies and camcorders are our thing, and we want everyone to film their own stories and have them look good and feel good too
